Refined Outdoor Kitchen & Bath Visualization for an Exterior Design Firm
The journey began when the owner of an interior design firm contacted ABN Design Studio after discovering our CAD drafting and 3D rendering services through our official website. The firm was seeking a dedicated visualization partner capable of producing detailed, photorealistic renderings to support a high-end kitchen and bathroom renovation project for one of their premium clients.
In their initial outreach, the firm shared the project brief, including layout intentions, style references, and essential design goals. They were specifically looking for a remote team that could interpret rough sketches, elevate the design intent, and deliver presentation-ready visuals to guide both client approvals and construction execution.
From the very first conversation, we established a structured communication channel to ensure smooth collaboration. Shortly after, the client provided us with a set of hand-drawn layout sketches, material inspiration images, and site photos of the existing kitchen and bath spaces.
At ABN Design Studio, we treat every rough draft as a stepping stone. Our team studied the drawings meticulously, identifying spatial configurations, cabinetry preferences, and plumbing fixtures. These concepts became the foundation for a highly detailed 3D model, crafted to enhance the original vision while optimizing function and aesthetics.

1.The Scope of Work and References :
Client provided rough hand drawn sketches with dimensions.

Scope of Work:
-
Develop a 3D conceptual design of the kitchen and bathroom based on client-provided sketches.
-
Create layout variations for cabinetry, island placements (kitchen), and vanity/tub positioning (bathroom).
-
Deliver photorealistic 3D renderings showcasing material choices, lighting schemes, and spatial flow.
-
Highlight key design features including tilework, storage solutions, fixtures, and finishes.
-
Provide high-res visuals and render-ready files for presentation and contractor coordination.
Client-Provided References:
-
Hand-drawn floor plans showing cabinetry layouts, kitchen island positioning, bath vanity and tub zones.
-

2.Team Discussion :
Project Manager:
-
“Team, we have a new residential interior visualization project a luxury kitchen and bath remodel. The client
is highly detail-oriented and design-driven. They discovered our services through our Interior CAD Design
page, and they’re looking for high-end visualizations to clearly communicate their design concept. Functionality and aesthetics are equally important, so let’s aim for precision and elegance throughout the process.”
Kitchen CAD Designer:
-
“Understood. I’ll start by translating their hand-drawn sketches into accurate 2D CAD drawings and SketchUp
base models. I’ll cross-check all dimensions against their site photos and verify that appliance and plumbing
zones align correctly. This foundation will ensure that the 3D team can efficiently develop the visualizations. I’ll also prepare multiple layout options as per their flexible design scope, while keeping the fixed zones intact.
Once CAD and models are approved, I’ll coordinate directly with 3D and styling for seamless transition.”
3. The Workflow -
The entire project was completed in three stages. Now, we’ll show you what happened in each of them.
3.1 First Review Round :
Once the initial 3D models of the kitchen and bath were developed, we rendered and shared early versions with the client. This first delivery was meant to visualize layout and scale with moderate realism.
The client responded during a Zoom session, offering feedback regarding:
-
Cabinetry color adjustments (wanted a richer matte tone)
-
Minor repositioning of the kitchen island
-
Enhancements to bathroom lighting for a spa-like atmosphere
We recorded all feedback and revised the model accordingly.
So, we showed him this intermediate result.

3.1 First Review Round :
Following the delivery of the initial draft, we scheduled a Zoom meeting to discuss the renderings in detail. During the session, the client provided valuable feedback, including adjustments to certain materials, refinements in landscaping elements, and minor layout enhancements to better align with the original vision. This collaborative exchange helped us gain clarity on the client’s expectations and ensured that the next iteration would be even more aligned with their goals. Our artist took all the comments into consideration and immediately got down to work.
The client took additional time to review the updated renderings and later provided a detailed follow-up via email which is attached below-

3.2 Second Review Round :
After implementing the requested changes, our team refined lighting schemes, updated materials, and improved fixture detailing.
Key updates included:
-
Soft twilight lighting for both spaces to evoke warmth
-
Accurate brass hardware reflections and tiling details
-
Increased material realism, including stone veining and texture mapping
The second round was well received — the client praised the mood, lighting tone, and lifelike finishes.
3.2 Final Touch-Up Round :
Before closing the project, the client requested a few final enhancements:
-
Slight tone adjustment in cabinet finish for better contrast
-
Adding dimmable lighting simulation under cabinets and vanity
-
Refined reflections on stone surfaces for added realism
These fine details were addressed promptly, and the final renderings were delivered in full resolution.
4. The Results :
Here they are, all the 3D renders of the Outdoor Kitchen And Bathroom we’ve made within this project. How do you like them?

We delivered a suite of high-quality kitchen and bath renderings that clearly showcased layout functionality, material richness, and spatial ambiance. The final visuals were presentation-ready and used by the client to communicate with both their client and their contractor network.
Client Feedback:
“The final visuals exceeded expectations exactly what we needed for our presentation. The lighting mood, materials, and realism were spot on. ABN Design Studio delivered with professionalism, creativity, and efficiency. We’ll definitely collaborate again.”
