Project Overview
Immersive Poolscape Visualization for an Australian Landscape Design Firm
The journey began when the owner of a landscape design firm based in Australia contacted ABN Design Studio after reviewing our CAD drafting services on our official website. They were seeking a specialized CAD and visualization partner capable of supporting their high-end poolscape projects with professional-grade outputs. In their initial message, company shared their clients basic requirements, location context, and design goals. They were specifically looking for a reliable remote CAD design partner who could understand their concept, develop it professionally, and deliver high-quality, photorealistic visuals to guide the execution of their project, From that first point of contact, we established a clear communication channel, ensuring the client felt supported, informed, and confident throughout the design process. After all this conversation the client shared a set of hand-drawn sketches and rough layout ideas for the envisioned poolscape. These early concepts, though simple, offered valuable insight into the client’s imagination. At ABN Design Studio, we treat every sketch as the foundation of something greater. Our team carefully analyzed the dimensions, layout preferences, and spatial orientation suggested in the drawings. From these Sketches outlines, we began translating the concept into a detailed 3D model, staying true to the essence of the client's vision while enhancing it with our design expertise.

1.The Scope of Work and Client Provided References :
Client provided rough hand drawn sketches with dimensions.

Scope of Work:
-
Develop a 3D conceptual design of the pool based on the client's sketches and notes.
-
Create multiple design variations for the main view to explore layout, material, and lighting possibilities.
-
Deliver photorealistic 3D renderings showcasing the final pool design in context with its surroundings.
-
Ensure realistic water reflections, landscaping elements.
-
Provide render-ready files and visuals suitable for presentation and construction reference.
Client-Provided References:
-
Hand-drawn sketches outlining basic pool shape, placement, and surrounding lounge area.
-
Inspiration images from online sources showing desired styles (e.g., infinity edge pools, natural stone textures).

2. : Project Planning and Execution
Project Manager:
“We’ve got a new Landscape rendering project from a landscape design company based in Australia. They found us through our CADdrafting service listings, and they’re expecting a photorealistic final product. This is a high-end outdoor space, so we’ll need to maintaintight alignment on design fidelity and deliverables throughout. The pool shape and lounge layout are fixed, but there’s flexibility in thesurrounding design. Our approach should be interactive, clear, and design-forward.”
Landscape Designer:
“Understood. I’ll begin by developing a detailed planting plan using the client’s mood board, site photos, and notes on textures and
lighting. I’ll focus on incorporating layered tropical greenery, stone edging, and ambient lighting to create a resort-style atmosphere,
especially around the pool and lounge zones. I’ll also make sure to interpret the topography from their site imagery and align it with the SketchUp base model for accuracy in the render.”
Project Manager:
“Excellent. Let’s treat the first round of visuals as a refined interpretation of their sketches polished enough to spark dialogue, but
open to revision. Once we get their feedback, we’ll move toward refining the lighting, materials, and planting detail. The client values
responsiveness, so let’s build in points for structured feedback and fast iteration.”
Landscape Designer:
“I’ll prepare the design to support multiple lighting moods natural daylight and a twilight option so they can experience the space
in different contexts. That will also help showcase the ambient landscape lighting and texture interplay.”
Project Manager:
“Perfect. Let’s approach this as more than just a rendering we’re building a narrative. The final visuals should immerse the client,
making them feel as if they’re already stepping into that finished outdoor space.”

Here they are, all the 3D renders of the Landscape we’ve made within this project. How do you like them?

5. The Final Review :
After receiving the final round of renderings, the client expressed their appreciation for the collaboration, quality, and responsiveness throughout the entire process. They were particularly impressed with how accurately the renderings captured their design vision, as well as the realism and ambiance delivered through lighting, materials, and landscaping elements.
“The final visuals exceeded our expectations the detailing, mood, and realism were exactly what we needed to present the concept to our client. ABN Design Studio was not only technically sharp but also incredibly responsive and easy to work with remotely. We’re looking forward to partnering again on our next project."
